Fireworks, Mummies, Robots and Spies, Oh My!!

Happy July 4th weekend, and to celebrate, in what is likely a first at the Skyline, we will be screening three new movies!  Despicable Me 3, Transformers: The Last Knight and The Mummy .  None of these have screened this year at the Skyline, with Despicable Me 3 making it’s debut nationwide.

Thursday night, only, will be Despicable Me 3 followed by The Mummy.

Friday and Sunday we shift to triple-feature mode with Despicable Me 3, Transformers: The Last Knight and The Mummy – in that order.

But hold to your sparklers, Saturday night, only,  our annual bowel-shaking Skyworks Fireworks Spectacular will go off between Despicable Me 3 and  Transformers: The Last Knight plus we add our Drive-Insanity quadruple feature:  Evils Of The Night – following the Mummy; thus making Saturday a true dusk to dawn experience!

Despicable Me 3 finds Gru discovering a brother he never knew he had, and fighting a new villain that just can’t let the 80’s go. And just because it’s the fourth in the series – you may be surprised to find it’s nearly as good as the first.  Our second feature is fifth in the Transformers franchise: The Last Knight, in which like other Transformers movies there is the semblance of a plot that happens in-between giant robots beating the crap out of each other.  Our third feature is yet another Mummy remake – but don’t let the critics fool you – this remake is actually quite good- better than the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies – in which Tom Cruise goes up against the ancient supernatural threat. Our Saturday night only, Drive-Insanity quadruple-feature, is Evils Of The Night, a 1985 film where vacationing teens are systematically kidnapped, taken to a strange, rural hospital, run by a mysterious group that needs their blood.

Our continued Summer celebration offers free kids admission with the purchase of every adult admission – Thursday ONLY!

Sunday’s mean the Skyline Prize Wheel!  Visit the Skyline on Sunday, only,  and look inside the handout given to you at the box office for a Golden Ticket – if you get one – you get to spin the Skyline Prize Wheel for free concessions, prizes or admissions!

We have a winner!  Themyscira was also know as Paradise Island in the Wonder Woman  comics and TV show. Congrats to Jon Heline for providing the correct answer! Enjoy your free passes to the Skyline.
