This Wednesday night we have a hell of an Indie Sinsations!  The acclaimed new horror/mystery film Summer of ’84 and last years comedy/horror Pool Party Massacre.  Summer Of ’84 is creating quite a buzz and we are the only theater’s in Indiana screening it. Don’t miss your chance to see it!

I know many of you will hit us up on FB asking why we can’t play Skyscraper or Ant-Man & The Wasp..…fact is, the studios sometimes simply don’t offer us the movies or (in most cases) price themselves out of feasibility – that’s the way it goes.  Only until a theater has more than one screen to the ability to show virtually anything become a reality….but you can imagine the costs involved in that endeavor…but maybe one day soon!

It’s a comedy-filled weekend at the Skyline with the hilarious I Feel Pretty and the uproarious sequel Super Troopers 2!   Amy Schumer stars as a woman struggling with insecurity whom wakes from a fall believing she is the most beautiful & capable woman on the planet. So the super-cool, super-special advanced screening last Thursday night of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 didn’t happen due to record rainfall in the area- we were thinking this may have been the 1st time we had to close due to rain – and it almost stopped us the next day – but thanks to the concentrated efforts of the staff – we opened on Friday night, albeit a little late but frankly the night turned out to be quite pleasant for those that came out.

As for the headliner – Guardians is fantastic family fare, the audience response has been great, the reviews have been impeccable – so what better way to see such a spectacle than on the big screen of your Skyline Drive-In!

Our annual Independence Day celebration is happening Saturday July 2nd.  The gates open at 5pm and normal admission applies ($8 for adults, $4 for kids 3-11 and 2 and under are free).  Join us for four movies: Finding Dory, Independence Day Resurgence, Captain America: Civil War & The Dark from 1979.  There will be a free bounce house for the kids and of course our retro arcade The Skycade will be open all day & night.  Our massive fireworks show by Premier Pyro will happen after the first movie (about 11:15pm).  Stay all night and camp with us! Here is the schedule with approximate times for our 4th annual Super Monster Movie Fest at The Skyline. We will also be slipping in some surprises each night. Both Friday and Saturday are real dusk till dawn shows and you can camp for free. You can bring your tent and spend a spooky night under the stars at the Skyline. You can still buy tickets in advance on our website or pay at the gate. This will be a huge fun event and we hope all of you will be able to join us for our weekend of monsters.

Lexi began playing shows at 8 years old when she would step up during the set breaks at her Daddy’s shows and proceed to break every heart in the house with her sweet voice. Bands are to be announced for our first annual Nedfest music festival.  Tickets will be available online and at the Skyline.  A three day pass will be available for $20.  Daily tickets are $10 at the gate.  There will be three hours of music each evening followed by special movie presentations.  Gates open at 6pm each night during Nedfest so come celebrate July 4th early.
